Therapy: drug withdrawal, symptomatic treatment. In case of random reception of 12 pcs. in children (weighing 12 kg) and more than 60 pcs. in adults - it is necessary to wash the stomach or provoke vomiting.

special instructions

Coated tablets

Patients receiving other medicinal products should consult their doctor before starting the drug.

The recommended daily dose must not be exceeded, since some components of Supradin are very high doses ax (for example, copper, iron, cholecalciferol, retinol) can adversely affect the human body. So, taking retinol in a short time at a dose of more than 500,000 IU serves to develop acute hypervitaminosis, which is manifested by dizziness, malaise, abdominal pain, headache, nausea and vomiting. Long-term intake of retinol in a daily dose of more than 100,000 IU leads to the development of chronic hypervitaminosis, manifested by weight loss, hair loss, brittle nails, dry skin, bone and joint pain. Taking cholecalciferol at a dose of 2000 IU for several weeks or months also causes the development of hypervitaminosis, accompanied by dehydration, impaired stool, thirst, nausea and vomiting.

Effervescent tablets

When following a diet with minimal salt intake, it is important to consider that 1 tablet of Supradin contains approximately 0.3 g of sodium (equivalent to 0.7 g of table salt).

Sick with diabetes should take into account the content in 1 tablet of approximately 1 g of sucrose (crystal sugar), which corresponds to 0.1 XE.

Application in childhood

According to the instructions, Supradin is contraindicated in children under the age of 12 years.

For impaired renal function

Supradin is contraindicated in patients with renal insufficiency.

drug interaction

Vitamins Supradin should not be taken in combination with other multivitamin preparations.

Influence of active components medicinal product for preparations/substances in combined use:

  • levodopa: pyridoxine, even in small doses, enhances its peripheral metabolism, which may reduce its therapeutic effect in patients with Parkinson's disease;
  • antivirals, oral antibacterial drugs from the group of tetracyclines: zinc, copper, calcium, iron and magnesium can delay their absorption (requires compliance with the interval between doses of 1-2 hours).

The effect of drugs and substances contained in food on the active components of Supradin while taking:

  • laxatives (paraffin oil): may interfere with the absorption of cholecalciferol in the gastrointestinal tract;
  • food containing phytin (whole cereals), oxalates (rhubarb, spinach, sorrel): reduces the absorption of calcium (it is important to observe an interval of at least 2 hours between their intake).

Pharmacological properties the drug is determined by the complex of vitamins and minerals that make up the composition. Supradin contains 12 vitamins combined with minerals and rare elements that are important factors metabolic processes.

Vitamins are necessary for the metabolism of carbohydrates, the formation of energy reserves, the metabolism of lipids, nucleic acids and proteins, as well as for the synthesis of collagen and neurotransmitters. In addition to participating in the main metabolic reactions, vitamins are involved in the regulation and coordination of metabolic processes. Vitamins are essential for bone growth, wound healing, vascular maintenance, immune status, microsomal drug metabolism and detoxification, tissue development and differentiation.

Vitamin A contributes to normal growth, participates in the formation and maintenance of the structure and functions of bones, teeth, skin, participates in the synthesis of visual pigment.

Vitamin B 1 contributes to the normal functioning of the nervous system.

Vitamin B 2 participates in tissue respiration, protein, carbohydrate and fat metabolism.

Vitamin B 6 contributes to the maintenance of the structure and function of bones, teeth, gums, affects erythropoiesis.

Vitamin B12 participates in erythropoiesis, contributes to the normal functioning of the nervous system.

participates in the formation and maintenance of the structure and function of bones, teeth and gums; strengthens the walls of capillaries.

Vitamin D 3 regulates the exchange of phosphorus and calcium in the body, facilitating the absorption of these substances from the intestines, their timely deposition in the bones.

Vitamin E ensures the normal functioning of red blood cells, protects cell membranes from damage.

Biotin takes part in metabolic processes, promotes the absorption of protein.

Pantothenic acid participates in the metabolism of fats, proteins and carbohydrates.

Folic acid involved in erythropoiesis.

Nicotinamide takes part in redox processes, provides the transfer of hydrogen and phosphate.

Calcium participates in the formation of bones and teeth, contributes to normal blood clotting.

Magnesium participates in the formation of muscle and bone tissue, and also takes part in protein synthesis.

Iron participates in erythropoiesis; is an important component of hemoglobin, which provides oxygen transport to tissues.

Phosphorus, along with calcium, is involved in the formation of bones and teeth, and also participates in the processes of energy metabolism.

Manganese promotes proper bone mineralization.

Copper necessary for the normal function of red blood cells and iron metabolism.

Zinc is part of about 70 enzymes involved in the synthesis and metabolism of hormones (mainly glucocorticosteroids), as well as the division and interaction of immunocompetent cells.

Molybdenum is part of the enzymes and coenzymes involved in many redox reactions in the body.

Except for the known consequences acute insufficiency vitamins, a growing body shows a certain need for vitamins, which helps prevent diseases and maintain mental and physical condition for high level.

The lack of vitamins is observed in the following cases:

  • with increased demand (growth period, pregnancy, period breastfeeding, elderly age, recovery period, antibiotic treatment and chemotherapy);
  • with reduced consumption (following a diet to reduce body weight, other unbalanced diets, old age, gastrointestinal diseases).

Under these conditions, there is rarely a lack of only one of the vitamins. In addition, the flow of the most common minerals and rare elements is disrupted.

The drug Supradin was created as a complete multivitamin complex that helps prevent general vitamin deficiencies and allows them to be treated.

Pharmacokinetics

Data on the pharmacokinetics of the drug are not provided.

Indications

It is used in the prevention and treatment of hypo- and avitaminosis and lack of minerals, including:

  • with inadequate and unbalanced nutrition (diet);
  • with increased physical and mental stress;
  • during the recovery period after prolonged and / or severe illnesses, incl. infectious;
  • in the complex therapy of chronic alcoholism, in the appointment of antibiotic therapy, chemotherapy.

Contraindications

  • hypervitaminosis of vitamin A;
  • vitamin D hypervitaminosis;
  • violation of the metabolism of iron and copper;
  • hypercalcemia;
  • severe hypocalciuria;
  • kidney failure;
  • period of treatment with retinoids;
  • sucrase / isomaltase deficiency, fructose intolerance, glucose-galactose malabsorption (for coated tablets);
  • children's age up to 12 years;
  • allergic reaction to peanuts or soy (for coated tablets);
  • hypersensitivity to the components of the drug.

Dosage

The drug is taken orally. The effervescent tablet must first be dissolved in a glass of water. The film-coated tablet is recommended to be swallowed whole with a glass of water (200 ml).

Adults and teenagers over 12 years old appoint 1 tab. effervescent or 1 coated tablet, 1 time / day with meals.

The course of treatment is 1-2 months. Repeated course of treatment - after consultation with a doctor.

Side effects

Allergic reactions: rash, swelling of the face, shortness of breath, redness of the skin, itching, blisters, shock. In the event of an allergic reaction, stop taking the drug and consult a doctor.

From the side digestive system: pain in the stomach, intestines, constipation, diarrhea, nausea, vomiting.

From the nervous system: headache, dizziness, insomnia, nervousness.

From the side of metabolism: hypercalciuria.

Overdose

Since Supradin contains fat soluble vitamins A and D, signs of acute or chronic overdose may develop after a single dose of the drug at a high dose or with prolonged use.

Symptoms: sudden attacks of headache, dizziness, confusion, and gastrointestinal disorders, including nausea, diarrhea, or constipation.

In some patients with glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase deficiency, an overdose of vitamin C (more than 15 g) can cause hemolytic anemia.

Treatment: if these symptoms occur, the patient should immediately stop taking the drug and consult a doctor. If more than 12 tablets for children (body weight 12 kg) and more than 60 tablets for adults (body weight 60 kg) are accidentally taken, induce vomiting or gastric lavage. Therapy is symptomatic, there is no specific antidote.

drug interaction

Do not take other multivitamin preparations at the same time.

Preparations with vitamin E in the composition should be used with caution in patients receiving anticoagulants or drugs that affect platelet aggregation.

Vitamin B 6, even in small doses, enhances the peripheral metabolism of levodopa, as a result of which the therapeutic effect of levodopa in the treatment of Parkinson's disease may decrease.

Preparations containing iron, calcium, magnesium, copper and zinc can delay the absorption of oral antibiotics from the tetracycline group and antiviral drugs. It is necessary to adhere to the interval of at least 1-2 hours between taking these drugs.

Concomitant use of laxatives such as paraffin oil may cause malabsorption of vitamin D from the gastrointestinal tract.

The intake of foods containing oxalates (sorrel, spinach, rhubarb) and phytin (whole cereals) reduces the absorption of calcium, so you should not take the drug within 2 hours after eating a meal containing significant amounts of oxalic and phytic acids.

special instructions

Patients taking other medicines should consult their doctor before taking Supradin.

Do not exceed the recommended dose of the drug, since very high doses of some of the ingredients of the drug, in particular vitamin A, vitamin D, iron and copper, can have an adverse effect on the human body. So, excessive intake of vitamin A in a short time at a dose of more than 500,000 IU leads to acute hypervitaminosis, which is expressed in malaise, abdominal pain, headache with nausea and vomiting, and dizziness. Long-term intake of vitamin A at a dose of more than 100,000 IU / day leads to chronic hypervitaminosis, manifested by bone and joint pain, dry skin and brittle nails, hair loss and weight loss. Excessive intake of vitamin D at a dose of 2000 IU for several weeks or months also leads to hypervitaminosis, the symptoms of which are nausea, vomiting, thirst, stool disorders, and dehydration.

Possible staining of urine yellow, which is completely harmless, and is explained by the presence of riboflavin in the preparation.

When hypersensitivity to lactose, Supradin should be taken in the form of effervescent tablets.

An effervescent tablet contains about 300 mg of sodium (equivalent to 700 mg of table salt).

Patients on a low-salt diet are advised to take the drug in the form of film-coated tablets.

The tablet contains about 1000 mg of crystalline sugar (sucrose). When taking the recommended daily dose this amount is negligible even if an anti-diabetic diet is required (1 g of crystalline sugar corresponds to 0.1 bread unit).

Influence on the ability to drive vehicles and control mechanisms

Not found.

Pregnancy and lactation

The drug can be taken during pregnancy and during breastfeeding, subject to the recommended daily dose. There are no data indicating a risk to the fetus when taking the drug at recommended doses during pregnancy.

Since the dose of vitamin A during pregnancy should not exceed 3000-4000 IU / day, Supradin should not be used with other drugs containing vitamin A, synthetic isomers, isotretinoin and etretinate or beta-carotene. A constant overdose of vitamin D, along with constant hypercalcemia, has an adverse effect on the fetus and newborn, namely, it can lead to the development of supravalvular stenosis of the aortic orifice in the fetus, a lag in physical and mental development and retinopathy in children. In this regard, it is necessary to take into account the intake of vitamin D in the body of a newborn.

The drug in the form of coated tablets contains the following additional substances: microcrystalline cellulose, lactose monohydrate, sucrose, povidone K90, crospovidone, magnesium stearate. The composition of vitamins also includes the following components of the sugar shell: sucrose, talc, dry acacia spray, heavy paraffin, rice starch, titanium dioxide, canthaxanthin, light liquid paraffin.

What is useful Vita Supradin asset

  • Vitamin A is responsible for normal development, reproductive function, skin and eye health, and maintaining immunity.
  • Vitamin B1 is part of the most important enzymes of carbohydrate and energy metabolism, providing the body with energy and plastic substances, as well as the metabolism of branched-chain amino acids. The lack of this vitamin leads to serious disorders of the nervous, digestive and cardiovascular systems.
  • Vitamin B2 participates in redox reactions, increases the susceptibility of color by the visual analyzer and dark adaptation. Inadequate intake of vitamin B2 is accompanied by a violation of the condition of the skin, mucous membranes, impaired light and twilight vision.
  • Vitamin B6 participates in the maintenance of the immune response, the processes of inhibition and excitation in the central nervous system, in the transformation of amino acids, the metabolism of tryptophan, lipids and nucleic acids, contributes to the normal formation of red blood cells, maintaining normal level homocysteine in the blood. Insufficient intake of vitamin B6 is accompanied by a decrease in appetite, a violation of the condition of the skin, the development of homocysteinemia, anemia.
  • Vitamin B9 as a coenzyme involved in the metabolism of nucleic and amino acids. Folate deficiency leads to a disruption in the synthesis of nucleic acids and protein, resulting in inhibition of cell growth and division, especially in rapidly proliferating tissues: bone marrow, intestinal epithelium, etc. Insufficient folate intake during pregnancy is one of the causes of prematurity, malnutrition, and congenital deformities and developmental disorders of the child. A strong relationship was shown between the level of folate, homocysteine and the risk of cardiovascular disease.
  • Vitamin B12 plays an important role in the metabolism and transformations of amino acids. Folate and vitamin B12 are interrelated vitamins involved in hematopoiesis. A lack of vitamin B12 leads to the development of partial or secondary folate deficiency, as well as anemia, leukopenia, and thrombocytopenia.
  • Vitamin C participates in redox reactions, functioning immune system promotes the absorption of iron. Deficiency leads to friable and bleeding gums, nosebleeds due to increased permeability and fragility of blood capillaries.
  • Vitamin D maintains calcium and phosphorus homeostasis, carries out mineralization processes bone tissue. A lack of vitamin D leads to impaired calcium and phosphorus metabolism in bones, increased demineralization of bone tissue, which leads to an increased risk of osteoporosis.
  • Vitamin H participates in the synthesis of fats, glycogen, amino acid metabolism. Insufficient intake of this vitamin can lead to disruption of the normal condition of the skin.
  • Vitamin K regulates blood clotting. A lack of vitamin K leads to an increase in blood clotting time, a reduced content of prothrombin in the blood.
  • Calcium is the main component of our bones, acts as a regulator of the nervous system, is involved in muscle contraction. Calcium deficiency leads to demineralization of the spine, pelvic bones and lower extremities increases the risk of developing osteoporosis.
  • Magnesium participates in energy metabolism, synthesis of proteins, nucleic acids, has a stabilizing effect on membranes, is necessary to maintain homeostasis of calcium, potassium and sodium. Lack of magnesium leads to hypomagnesemia, increased risk of developing hypertension, heart disease.
  • Iron is a part of proteins of various functions, including enzymes. Participates in the transport of electrons, oxygen, ensures the occurrence of redox reactions and activation of peroxidation. Insufficient intake leads to hypochromic anemia, myoglobin deficiency atony of skeletal muscles, fatigue, myocardiopathy, atrophic gastritis.
  • Iodine participates in the functioning of the thyroid gland, providing the formation of hormones (thyroxine and triiodothyronine). It is necessary for the growth and differentiation of cells of all tissues of the human body, mitochondrial respiration, regulation of transmembrane transport of sodium and hormones. Insufficient intake leads to endemic goiter with hypothyroidism and slow metabolism, arterial hypotension, growth retardation and mental development in children.
  • Manganese participates in the formation of bone connective tissue, is part of the enzymes involved in the metabolism of amino acids, carbohydrates, catecholamines; necessary for the synthesis of cholesterol and nucleotides. Insufficient consumption is accompanied by growth retardation, disorders in the reproductive system, increased fragility of bone tissue, disorders of carbohydrate and lipid metabolism.
  • Molybdenum is a cofactor of many enzymes that provide the metabolism of sulfur-containing amino acids, purines and pyrimidines.
  • Selenium- an essential element of the antioxidant defense system of the human body, has an immunomodulatory effect, participates in the regulation of the action of thyroid hormones. Deficiency leads to Kashin-Bek's disease (osteoarthritis with multiple deformities of the joints, spine and limbs), Keshan's disease (endemic myocardiopathy), and hereditary thrombasthenia.
  • Zinc is part of more than 300 enzymes, is involved in the synthesis and breakdown of carbohydrates, proteins, fats, nucleic acids and in the regulation of the expression of a number of genes. Inadequate intake leads to anemia, secondary immunodeficiency, liver cirrhosis, sexual dysfunction, and fetal malformations. Research recent years the ability of high doses of zinc to disrupt the absorption of copper and thereby contribute to the development of anemia was revealed.
