Linex hard capsules for children. Rules for taking Linex for adults: dosage and duration of use. Scheme for using Linex for prevention

Linex capsules or children's forms in the form of sachets/drops are considered a universal remedy that gives almost no side effects and suitable for use in all age groups, including newborns and elderly people over 70 years of age. Preparations based on lactobacilli are recognized as safe in the countries of the former USSR and in the West, where they are not even considered drugs, but dietary supplements. But there is also another trend: thanks to advertising and messages about their safety, patients tend to overestimate their benefits and use them to avoid digestive disorders unreasonably often.

Composition and action

"Linex" for adults is a solid capsule that is soluble only in the intestines. For children, sachets with powder or drops for dissolution in water/drinks are produced. Their contents are cultures of Lactobacillus acidophilus, Bifidobacterium infantis and Enterococcus faecium. All these are lactobacilli that are not adapted to survive in the digestive environment of the stomach. According to the manufacturer, they are immune to antibiotics. But this cannot be objectively verified. The powder containing beneficial bacteria is formed from a mixture of lactose (a nutrient medium for them), starch, magnesium stearate and dextrin.

Among the varieties of Linex there are the following drugs.

  • "Linex Forte". Containing two strains of lactic acid bacteria versus three in regular “Linex” (Lactobacillus acidophilus and Bifidobacterium animalis subsp, lactis), but in higher concentration and with a different nutritional base, enhanced with fructose, glucose and inulin. Inulin should not be confused with insulin. It is another polysaccharide and is in no way related to the pancreatic hormone.
  • "Linex Gastro". It contains cultures of Bifidobacterium infantis, Enterococcus faecium and Lactobacillus acidophilus species L. gasseri. They also belong to lactic acid intestinal bacteria, therefore the purpose of the prefix “gastro-”, indicating the stomach, is unclear here (the drug, judging by its composition, is not intended to improve its functions).

The differences in the composition of Linex with individual prefixes in the name are insignificant and serve rather commercial purposes. But they can be used to select the most suitable combination for the patient. Reviews of Linex Gastro and Linex Forte do not indicate their higher effectiveness than regular Linex. At the same time, it is noted that all modifications of the drug have advantages compared to analogues (“Bifidumbacterin”, “RioFlora”).

Proven effects

Lactic acid bacteria perform several functions in the intestines important functions, and therefore “Linex” allows you to establish in the intestines:

  • acid-base balance- since digestive bacteria produce a number of acids (lactic, acetic);
  • hygiene of its internal environment- due to the synthesis of hydrogen peroxide and bacteriocins (compounds that inhibit the growth of pathogenic microflora and fungi);
  • production of a number of vitamins- and vitamin K, produced in the body itself.

Indications for use of "Linex" relate to:

  • dysbacteriosis;
  • colic (all age groups);
  • bloating;
  • colitis of any etiology;
  • diarrhea of any etiology;
  • constipation (except caused by obstruction and medication);
  • intestinal infections, including rotavirus and pathogenic strains of staphylococcus.

It can be included in rehabilitation therapy after food poisoning, episodes of debilitating vomiting, and antibiotic treatment for other infections. But the course of gastritis, hemorrhoids, and heartburn “Linex”, contrary to popular belief, does not alleviate it, although it helps prevent them. His technique is capable of masking chronic pancreatitis, especially sluggish or in remission.

Myths

There is an opinion that Linex and other probiotics strengthen the immune system in children from two to 12 years old by improving digestion and reducing the number of food infections. In fact, the quality of immunity in children does not depend on the frequency of diseases intestinal infections, and taking Linex does not affect this indicator in any way, because it:

  • is not an antibiotic or antiseptic;
  • does not instill hygiene in the child instead of the parents;
  • does not sterilize food and water if they are contaminated.

Another misconception observed even among some doctors is the opinion that taking Linex helps children against atopic dermatitis. This is the name of an immune reaction that usually occurs to the introduction of complementary foods or other factors. It does not tend to recur in adult life, although there are known cases of its subsequent consolidation in the form of a full-fledged allergy. Often with the start of the Linex course skin rashes disappear. But in half the cases the “trick” doesn’t work. And there are several reasons for this.

  • No real connection. Autoimmune reactions are not related to the quality of digestion - only to the composition of the food. And if the breakdown of nutrients is “lame”, and “unformatted” compounds are formed in the stomach/intestines that can provoke an acute immune reaction, they do not enter the blood. For substances with an incorrect chemical formula, there are no carrier proteins capable of recognizing them, combining with them and delivering them to the target tissues. This is how one of the mechanisms for maintaining metabolic stability works.
  • Lack of astringent properties. Linex does not help remove “extra” elements from the intestinal cavity - only absorbents can do this. Therefore, their use for atopic dermatitis, presumably caused by incomplete breakdown of food, is more appropriate.

The fact that “Linex” sometimes works as a stimulant and “organizer” of the proper functioning of the immune system is explained by a well-known effect, which they deliberately try not to resort to, but is often observed as an accident. We are talking about the phenomenon when the immune defense, unable to cope with some disease or itself creating an allergic/autoimmune reaction, is activated or begins to work correctly when a new infection appears.

Due to superinfection, a cancer patient infected with a sexually transmitted disease or fungus may unexpectedly receive remission for up to a year, and a person suffering from an allergy to ragweed may be free from it until the next flowering season of the plant. This is how taking Linex works if the lactobacilli in it turn out to be “something new” for the microflora of the digestive tract.

The positive effect of superinfection on immunity rarely lasts long, works unpredictably, and the harm caused by the new pathogen/its treatment exceeds the benefits of the improvement obtained. Of course, Linex has an advantage over superinfection. But this mechanism does not justify the use of Linex for candidiasis of the esophagus, mouth or vagina, or fungal infections of the skin. Its oral administration does not affect the course of such pathologies. For local application the drug is also not suitable (lactobacteria in its composition do not survive on the skin and can dramatically disrupt the vaginal microflora).

Admission restrictions

Linex and other probiotics are considered safe. Their " active substance"(rather a “creature”, since we are talking about a colony of lactic acid bacteria) is not absorbed into the blood (is not metabolized). The confines of the intestine leave only Excipients which they feed on.

Lactose, fructose and glucose are sugars. Their content in terms of the size of a Linex capsule is insignificant and does not have a noticeable effect on the daily glycemic index of food. But they can be dangerous for diabetics by raising sugar levels an extra unit or two (depending on the circumstances).

The only strict contraindication to taking the drug is individual intolerance to some of the components of the drug. It especially often concerns lactose - milk sugar. The inability to assimilate it forms the lion's share of side effects of Linex. Therefore, taking Linex can provoke:

  • increased diarrhea;
  • the appearance of mucus in the stool;
  • vomiting;
  • colic.

Reviews of doctors who observed the consequences of prescribing "Linex" for various pathologies, also indicate that its use is undesirable when:

  • stomach pain of unknown cause;
  • temperature above 38°C;
  • feverish conditions;
  • diarrhea mixed with blood;
  • diarrhea lasting more than two days in a row;
  • diabetes mellitus (due to polysaccharides in the base of the drug);
  • immunodeficiencies (HIV infection, taking immunosuppressants).

Important nuances

The drug has other application features.

  • Pregnancy and lactation. Taking Linex for breastfeeding and during pregnancy it is not excluded, it is simply not recommended. Theoretically, the drug does not affect them. Lactobacilli will not leave the intestines, and sugar from the auxiliary part of the product is metabolized like regular carbohydrates from food. But there is not enough practical research on this issue. A compromise solution is to prescribe Linex to the mother only by a doctor, and the drug should be taken under his supervision.
  • Simultaneous treatment with antibiotics. The manufacturer claims that the bacterial cultures in Linex are immune to them. But in order to avoid testing the level of their resistance in practice, taking Linex with antibiotics should be done three to four hours apart.
  • Infancy."Linex" is indicated for use by children under three years of age with diagnosed and proven dysbiosis. A temporary deficiency of lactobacilli can result in breast milk not being digested. But the drug should not be given to children without a doctor’s prescription.
  • Missed appointment. This happens to adults and children for various reasons. If you miss one dose, you should not double the next one to compensate - you just need to continue the course according to the previous schedule.

An overdose of lactic acid bacteria is a problematic matter. Its cases have not been described or observed. In theory, an overdose of the drug may increase blood sugar levels (a threat to diabetics, but safe for others) and the development of a hypersensitivity reaction to the components of the drug. Exceeding the indicated dosages is undesirable when using any medicines and dietary supplements. In the case of Linux, it is also wiser to avoid this.

Instructions for use of "Linex"

The basic regimen for taking Linex for adolescents over 12 years of age and adults: two capsules three times a day, with meals or immediately after meals. The drug should not be taken with hot foods or alcoholic drinks.

  • Children under two years old. Daily dose capsules (whole or opened, with contents stirred in milk/artificial formula): one three times a day with equal intervals between doses.
  • Children under 12 years old. They are prescribed one or two whole/opened capsules three times a day with food.

The dosage of Linex Forte for different age categories differs from that prescribed for regular Linex to a lesser extent.

  • Children under two years old. You need to mix the contents of one capsule with milk once a day.
  • Children under 12 years old. They are prescribed one capsule twice a day, with food.
  • Teenagers from 12 years old and adults. The dosage depends on the severity of signs of dysbiosis: one capsule one to three times a day with meals.

Answering the question of how to give “Linex for Children” to a child, we can say that:

  • children from the first week of life to seven years old- prescribe one sachet or six drops of the drug in dissolved form once a day after meals;
  • children from two to seven years old- you need to give one sachet or six drops twice a day, dissolved in a warm drink/water, after meals;
  • children from seven to 12 years old- should be taken two sachets or six drops twice a day, diluted with water, milk or another drink, after meals.

The single dosage of drops for children does not change depending on age - the number of doses per day changes.

Many parents have difficulty with how to give capsules to a capricious or small child. Doctors have doubts about the effectiveness of replacing them with “open” forms of the drug. They are more convenient to use (they can be given without the child’s knowledge, by mixing them into a drink or dish while he is not looking). But with a high degree of probability, lactobacilli in their composition simply will not reach the intestines. They are not adapted to survive in highly acidic environments, such as gastric juice.

In adolescents and adults, when choosing any modification of the drug, the course of treatment should be carried out until intestinal digestion, peristalsis and stool normalize. For children from the first weeks of life to 12 years, it is better to distribute Linex in courses with a fixed length of two weeks/month - depending on the doctor’s recommendations, the speed of improvement and the tolerability of the drug.

Description medicinal product LINEX ® based on officially approved instructions for use of the drug and made in 2013. Update date: 04/01/2013

pharmachologic effect

A drug of biological origin that regulates the balance of intestinal microflora. Normalizes intestinal microflora. Maintains and regulates the physiological balance of intestinal microflora (microbiocenosis), ensures its physiological functions in the intestine.

Bacteria in the composition of Linex ® restore the disturbed balance of intestinal microflora due to dysbacteriosis.

Live lactic acid lyophilized bacteria that are part of the drug are an integral part of the normal intestinal microflora, maintain and regulate the physiological balance of microbiocenosis in all parts of the intestine, and have pronounced antagonistic properties against pathogenic and conditionally pathogenic flora. Participate in the synthesis of vitamins B1, B2, B6, B12 (in nature they are synthesized only by microorganisms), PP, K and E, folic and ascorbic acids, provide the body’s need for biotin, and have immunostimulating properties. By producing lactic acid and reducing the pH of the intestinal contents, the microorganisms used create favorable conditions for the absorption of iron, calcium, and vitamin D. Lactic acid bacteria carry out the enzymatic breakdown of proteins, fats and complex carbohydrates(including lactase deficiency in children), not absorbed into small intestine carbohydrates and proteins undergo deeper breakdown in the colon by anaerobes (including bifidobacteria). The bacteria included in the drug facilitate the digestion of proteins in infants (phosphoprotein phosphatase of bifidobacteria is involved in the metabolism of milk casein); participate in metabolism bile acids(formation of stercobilin, coprosterol, deoxycholic and lithocholic acids; promote reabsorption of bile acids).

Taking into account the peculiarities of the distribution of microflora throughout the human gastrointestinal tract - the predominance of lactobacilli and lactic acid streptococcus in the small intestine, and bifidobacteria in the large intestine, Linex ® ensures the supply of “medicinal” microflora in quantitatively and qualitatively balanced proportions.

The antagonistic properties of the drug Linex ® are associated with the ability of its constituent microorganisms to produce lactic and, to a lesser extent, acetic and propionic acids. The created acidic environment (pH of the intestinal contents approaches 4-5.8) is unfavorable for the development of pathogenic and opportunistic microorganisms.

Linex ® forte capsules contain Lactobacillus acidophilus (LA-5) and Bifidobacterium animalis subsp. lactis (BB-12). Both strains of lactic acid bacteria are normal representatives of the human intestinal microflora. There are several potent mechanisms by which strains LA-5 and BB-12 exert their characteristic protective and therapeutic effects.

They inhibit the growth of pathogenic bacteria by:

  • decrease in pH in the gastrointestinal tract (as a result of the ability of LA-5 to produce lactic acid, and BB-12 - in addition to lactic acid, also produce acetic and succinic acids);
  • production of metabolites toxic to pathogenic bacteria (production of H 2 O 2);
  • production of antibacterial substances, bacterions (LA-5 produces acidocin, which is a bacteriocin wide range actions that inhibit the growth of bacteria and fungi);
  • competition with pathogenic bacteria for nutrients;
  • blocking adhesive receptors, which prevents the colonization of other, potentially pathogenic microorganisms.

They also stimulate specific and non-specific parts of the immune system.

Disturbance of the balance of intestinal microflora (for example, with viral and bacterial gastrointestinal infections, with the use of broad-spectrum antibiotics and chemotherapy, organ irradiation abdominal cavity and small pelvis, on long journeys) or delayed development of permanent flora in infants can cause digestive disorders (such as flatulence, diarrhea and constipation).

Regular intake of LA-5 and BB-12 effectively reduces the frequency and severity of mild to moderate symptoms of digestive disorders (mainly diarrhea) associated with an imbalance of intestinal microflora, and also normalizes the functioning of the gastrointestinal tract.

Pharmacokinetics

Currently, there are no pharmacokinetic models for studying complex biological substances in humans, consisting of components with different molecular weights.

Lactic acid bacteria, such as Lactobacillus acidophilus (LA-5) and Bifidobacterium animalis subsp. lactis (BB-12), which are part of the drug Linex ® forte, have a local effect on the gastrointestinal tract; systemic absorption of the drug with oral administration not happening. Thus, traditional pharmacokinetic studies are not applicable in this case. The resistance of strains LA-5 and BB-12 to stomach acid and bile allows them to survive passage through the stomach and duodenum a large number of bacteria. Both strains adhere to the intestinal mucosa. Like all other microorganisms present in the gastrointestinal tract, they are gradually eliminated through peristalsis and during bowel movements.

Indications for use

  • prevention and treatment of dysbacteriosis;
  • dysbacteriosis and its manifestations (diarrhea, constipation, flatulence, nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, regurgitation in infants), dyspepsia (digestion) in adults and children, incl. breast;
  • dysbacteriosis as a result of treatment with antimicrobial and antitumor (chemotherapeutic) drugs.

How to take Linex correctly

Normal bowel function is the key to good health and general well-being. Under the influence of various factors, people often encounter the phenomenon of dysbiosis. Unpleasant sensations in the abdomen, bloating, and impaired bowel movements significantly worsen the quality of life. To return to normal, doctors prescribe the drug Linex. Thanks to a probiotic, you can restore the intestinal microflora and replenish the supply of beneficial bacteria. In this instruction for use, we will consider: what exactly the medication treats, when it is prescribed, how much it costs and what similar means can be replaced.

Ingredients and release form

The drug comes to the pharmaceutical market from two manufacturers (Lake and Sandoz). The main distinguishing feature of the presented probiotic is that it belongs to official medicines and is not considered a dietary supplement.

The imported drug and the Russian analogue contain three main bacteria, without which the body will not function fully - these are bifidobacteria, lactobacilli and enterococci. The product also contains other auxiliary components: lactose, magnesium stearate, dextrin, potato starch.

Domestic or imported medicine is supplied to pharmacies exclusively in the form of white capsules. The internal filling is powdery, and the substance itself does not have a characteristic odor or shade. The pills are sealed in foil blisters of 8 or 16 pieces, after which they are placed in cardboard branded packs. There is also an option for packaging in darkened glass bottles of 16 and 32 pieces. How much the medicine costs will be discussed below.

Pharmacological characteristics

The manufacturer positions Linex as a combination product, since it contains three bacteria necessary for the human body, which contributes to the formation of natural favorable microflora in the intestines. After the patient has taken the medicine, the process of regulating and maintaining the normal state of the gastrointestinal tract begins.

When answering the question of what Linex treats, it is worth mentioning its ability to provoke the production of the following series of vitamins in the body: K, B1, B2, B6, B12. Since the bacteria are lactic acid, the pH level rises. Under such conditions, pathogenic microflora cannot develop and gradually dies, and digestive enzymes, on the contrary, begin to act more actively.

The medication can be prescribed to patients of various categories: adults, children, elderly people, regardless of gender. Another feature of the drug is that lactic acid enzymes do not allow pathogenic microflora to attach to the intestinal walls, due to which the patient feels an improvement in his condition.

The level of resistance to pathogenic bacteria increases due to the ability of lactic acid enzymes to produce bacteriocins. In the intestines, general and humoral immunity is strengthened, and the metabolic processes of bile pigments and acids are stabilized.

Based on this, when answering the question of what Linex helps with, we can say that the action of the product is aimed at maintaining normal microflora in the intestines by normalizing the balance of essential bacteria. Such conditions develop in people who have recently suffered an infectious disease, and have also been treated by taking medications from the antibiotic group, or have been exposed to radiation.

According to clinical studies, not a single analogue of the drug, which also acts as a probiotic, will be as low-toxic and safe for the body as the original drug. The action of the medicine occurs in the digestive tract as it is taken orally.

When should you take Linex? Indications for use

There are certain indications for taking the drug, which are based on eliminating such a condition as a violation of the intestinal microflora, as well as as preventive measures. Experts recommend taking medication if you have the following sensations:

  1. Nausea;
  2. Gagging or vomiting;
  3. Stomach upset;
  4. Impaired defecation (constipation, diarrhea);
  5. Formation of gases in the intestines;
  6. Frequent belching for no reason;
  7. Painful and uncomfortable sensations in the abdomen.

If you notice the symptoms described in yourself, you can safely start taking a probiotic, and every pharmacy sells the medicine without a prescription from your doctor.

Note! For those patients who have persistent signs of gastrointestinal dysfunction for a long time, medical consultation is required. The specialist will make a diagnosis and prescribe a course of therapy, perhaps prescribing a substitute if the original is not suitable.

It often happens that the symptoms of dysbiosis are in themselves a sign of a serious disease that poses a direct threat not only to the health, but also to the life of the patient. For example, dysbiosis develops with salmonellosis or appendicitis.

Contraindications to taking the medication

The drug is well tolerated by the human body, regardless of his age. There are no contraindications to treatment of dysbiosis with the drug.

The reason for the impossibility of carrying out therapy may be individual intolerance to the constituent components. Actually, based on the fact that the composition contains lactic acid enzymes, the product is not suitable for people who have milk intolerance. In this situation, you will have to look for a high-quality analogue that is cheaper or more expensive than the original.

How to take Linex? Instructions for use

The dosage and regimen of taking the probiotic are as follows:

If necessary, the drug can be used even by infants. When treating dysbiosis in newborns and children under two years of age, the standard regimen involves taking one capsule of the drug three times a day. For children who are already 2 years old and up to 12 years old, the dosage increases and is 2 capsules three times a day. The same scheme applies to adult patients.

The list of conditions for which Linex is prescribed is quite extensive. Thus, the manufacturer recommends treating stomach disorders in children under six years of age exclusively under medical supervision. The dosage and duration of treatment are determined by a specialist, depending on the patient’s condition.

Infant patients who are not yet able to swallow the capsule can take the medication by opening and mixing the powder with a teaspoon of water. The mixture should be drunk immediately.

Experts point out that the juice secreted by the stomach has an adverse effect on the lactobacilli present in the composition, so the probiotic is taken during meals. It is forbidden to drink capsules with alcohol or hot foods.

Before you buy a medicine and start taking it, it is better to seek medical advice. A specialist will be able to tell you how to take capsules correctly, in what dosage, and for what period of time. Many points must be taken into account: the patient’s condition, his age, the cause of the disease.

In order for the resulting therapeutic effect to be sustainable, the drug is drunk for some time after recovery. The official instructions also contain information that the medication can be taken by women who are carrying a child or breastfeeding.

Negative consequences of taking the drug

Considering various reviews from patients who underwent a course of treatment to restore intestinal microflora with Linex, the medication was well tolerated. It is possible that some patients may develop symptoms of an allergic reaction.

Otherwise, no side effects of the drug on the body were identified during the study of the drug. It is worth noting that upon initial use the patient’s condition may worsen, but such reactions resolve on their own in a short time and do not require discontinuation of treatment.

How much does Linux cost? Price in pharmacy

In case of intestinal disorder, the question arises of where to buy good medicine. You can purchase a probiotic at almost any pharmacy, regardless of your region of residence. Often, even in small villages, such a drug is always available. There is another option to purchase medication online.

The average cost is shown in the comparative table, indicating two large Russian regions:

Number of capsules Price in Moscow (RUB) Price in St. Petersburg. (rub.)
Linex 16 caps. 255 303
32 caps. 526 595
Forte 7 caps. 298 360
Forte 14 caps. 517 494

Not every patient’s financial situation allows them to purchase medications in this price range. There is an option to choose an inexpensive analogue that can correct the situation with dysbacteriosis.

Cheap analogues of Linux

The medical product is a third generation probiotic due to the presence of several types of bacteria in its composition; substitutes must be selected according to:

  • Acipol – price 10 caps. within 300 rubles;
  • Acylact – cost 30 tablets. 285 rub.;
  • Primadophilus – for 90 caps. you will need to pay 998 rubles.

As you can see, similar drugs in this group are all in approximately the same price category. However, it is not recommended to prescribe medications yourself, especially if it is necessary to treat a child. It is better if the patient is examined by a specialist doctor before starting therapy.

Linex is a complex drug that contains three different forms of lyophilized lactic acid bacteria. They are the ones who populate all intestinal sections, being a healthy part of the microflora. They regulate, control and maintain physiological balance.

Linex is produced in the form of opaque capsules, equipped with a white cap and body; inside there is an odorless powder. The medicine is contained in an aluminum blister in the amount of 8 pieces, placed in cardboard packages containing two or four blisters. There are glass bottles containing sixteen or thirty-two capsules.

The composition of the combined drug deserves special attention. One capsule contains 1.2×107 lyophilized lactic acid bacteria. The active ingredients are the bacteria Bifidobacterium infantis, Lactobacillus acidophilus, and Enterococcus faecium. Auxiliary components include: gelatin, dextrin and potato starch, lactose, E171, magnesium stearate.

The drug is also available for children in the form of drops. The volume of one bottle is 8 ml. For ease of use, it is equipped with a dropper dispenser.

Linex in powder form is sold in 100 mg sachets. Typically a package contains 20 pieces.

What is it used for?

Linex is intended for the treatment and prevention of dysbiosis, which manifests itself with the following symptoms:

  • diarrhea;
  • constipation;
  • nausea and vomiting;
  • indigestion;
  • bloating and excessive gas;
  • presence of pain in the abdominal area;
  • Frequent regurgitation in infants.

Suitable for eliminating signs of dysbiosis that appears as a result of therapy with antibacterial, antitumor, antimicrobial drugs.

pharmachologic effect

The drug helps improve and normalize intestinal microflora, regulate and coordinate the physiological balance of microbiocenosis. This is what allows the intestines to perform all the necessary functions. Linex contains lactic acid bacteria, which are needed to regenerate the disturbed balance of microflora, which very often occurs in the case of dysbacteriosis.

Lyophilized live bacteria present in the composition constitute the normal intestinal microflora, regulate and maintain its balance within normal limits. They have a pronounced antagonistic effect in relation to opportunistic and pathogenic flora.

Lactic acid bacteria take an active part in the production of vitamins B1, B2, B6, B12, E, K and PP. They help synthesize ascorbic and folic acids and have an immunostimulating effect on a weakened body. They help create favorable conditions for the absorption of vitamin D, calcium and iron, which occurs due to the production of lactic acid, as well as a timely decrease in the pH concentration of the intestinal contents.

Live lactic acid bacteria provide high-quality enzymatic breakdown of complex carbohydrates, fats and proteins (even in the case of lactase deficiency in childhood).

Proteins and carbohydrates that are absorbed in the small intestine undergo fairly deep processing and breakdown by anaerobes and bifidobacteria in the large intestine.

The advantage of Linex is that it contains valuable bacteria that can facilitate the process of protein digestion in infants. This is due to the fact that phosphoprotein phosphatase from bifidobacteria takes part in the metabolism of milk casein. In addition, they are involved in the metabolic processes of bile acids and activate their reabsorption.

Linex helps microflora be beneficial in a balanced qualitative and quantitative ratio. This occurs due to the specific distribution of flora throughout the gastrointestinal tract, namely the predominance of bifidobacteria in the large intestine, and lactic acid streptococcus and lactobacilli in the small intestine.
