Wobenzym is a systemic enzyme therapy drug. Instructions for use Wobenzym Wobenzym interaction with diuretics

Instructions

Enzyme therapy is considered a new direction in medicine. One of the drugs based on a combination of enzymes of natural origin that act systemically is Wobenzym. It is included in therapeutic regimens for chronic and complicated diseases.

Latin name

Release forms and composition

The drug is available only in the form of enteric tablets. This suggests that the components of the drug do not participate in the digestion process in the stomach, but dissolve in the small intestine, from the walls of which enzymes are actively distributed, bind to blood proteins and have a biological effect.

Round tablets of complex composition have a biconvex shape, covered with a smooth red-orange coating. Sold in 40, 100 or 200 pcs. (each blister contains 20 tablets), bottles contain 800 tablets. Medicine packaging (cardboard packs or polyethylene bottles) is red and white.

The substances that make up the dosage form are distributed as follows:

  1. The active ingredients are concentrated in the core. Enzyme volumes are presented in units adopted by the Federation International Pharmaceutical - FIP/FIP. Each tablet contains:
    • 100 mg of pancreatin (300 proteolytic units) - necessary to compensate for the lack of enzymes and improve digestion;
    • 18 mg of papain (90 FIP units) - inhibits the growth and reproduction of bacteria, improves immunity, has an antipyretic and analgesic effect;
    • 50 mg rutoside trihydrate (vitamin P) - prevents fragility and improves capillary permeability, improves blood flow;
    • 12 mg of trypsin (360 FIP units) - provides an immunomodulatory effect, accelerates wound healing, prevents thrombosis, reduces swelling (inflammatory and lymphatic);
    • 45 mg bromelain (225 FIP units) - improves immunity, removes toxic substances from the body, enhances the anti-inflammatory response, accelerates tissue repair and wound healing, reduces inflammatory and lymphatic edema;
    • 10 mg each of lipase (34 FIP units) and amylase (50 FIP units) - both enzymes are necessary to improve metabolism and absorption of vitamins;
    • 0.75 mg of chymotrypsin (300 FIP units) - necessary to optimize the anti-inflammatory response and improve blood flow.
  2. Lactose monohydrate, pregelatinized starch, stearic acid, magnesium stearate, anhydrous colloidal silicon dioxide, and talc are used as excipients in the production of the drug.
  3. The composition of the film shell includes a copolymer of methacrylic acid and methyl methacrylate, sodium lauryl sulfate, triethyl citrate, macrogol 6000, talc, dyes, wax, clay, etc.

pharmachologic effect

Pharmacokinetics

The multicomponent medicine (7 enzymes and vitamin P) is a carefully selected proportion of highly active enzymes of plant (papain, bromelain) and animal (pancreatin, trypsin, lipase, amylase, chymotrypsin) origin, carefully selected in quality and quantity. The systemic effect is realized through anti-inflammatory, immunomodulatory, antiplatelet, fibrinolytic, and decongestant effects. Most enzymes also have secondary analgesic properties.

It has a positive effect on the body’s immunological reactivity, limits the pathological manifestations of autoimmune and immune complex processes, and stimulates antitumor immunity.

Under the influence of the drug composition, the activity of monocytes-macrophages is stimulated and regulated, which absorb, neutralize and eliminate viruses and cells infected by them, and cytotoxic T-lymphocytes, which are responsible for the lysis of damaged cells.

Helps normalize lipid metabolism and reduce cholesterol synthesis. As a result of the action of the components of the tablets, the concentration of thromboxane is reduced, the number of platelets is normalized, blood microcirculation and oxygen supply to tissues are improved.

The effectiveness of the therapeutic effect is improved due to the fact that the composition contains bromelain. This enzyme ensures the penetration and increase in the concentration of the antibiotic in the blood plasma and the site of inflammation.

The drug reduces the severity of side effects that occur while taking antibiotics or hormonal drugs.

The drug ensures maximum recovery of the body, regulates the mechanisms of production of interferons that provide antiviral immunity.

Indications for use of Wobenzym

The list of diseases and pathological conditions for which enzyme medications are included in complex therapy is practically unlimited. It is prescribed to women and men:

  • in urology in the treatment of chronic and acute diseases such as cystitis, prostatitis, STDs, urinary tract infections;
  • in gynecology for endometriosis, adnexitis, mastopathy, uterine fibroids, gestosis, genital infections;
  • in angiology in the treatment of thrombophlebitis (including acute thrombophlebitis), obliterating endarteritis, postphlebitic syndrome, atherosclerosis of the arteries of the legs, lymphatic edema, thrombosis and other arterial lesions;
  • in gastroenterology (hepatitis, pancreatitis);
  • in cardiology - to improve the rheological properties of blood, which is important for patients with myocardial infarction and angina pectoris;
  • in nephrology for patients with pyelonephritis or glomerulonephritis;
  • in rheumatology (arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, etc.);
  • in pulmonology (pneumonia, bronchitis, sinusitis);
  • in endocrinology (thyroiditis, diabetic retinopathy and angiopathy);
  • in dermatology;
  • in surgery (including plastic surgery) to prevent postoperative complications;
  • in traumatology (burns, injuries, bruises, hematomas, etc.);
  • in pediatrics for any infectious and inflammatory processes;
  • in ophthalmology (including ophthalmic surgery).

In most areas of medicine, the drug is prescribed for prophylactic purposes, because the combination of enzymes has a beneficial effect on the immune system and helps to avoid infectious complications after surgery, chemotherapy and radiation therapy for oncology, and adhesive disease.

It is used as a prophylactic for recurrent phlebitis and viral respiratory tract infections. Helps reduce side effects if the patient is prescribed a course of hormone replacement therapy.

Contraindications

The tablets contain enzymes only of natural origin, so there are few contraindications, but they do exist. Patients cannot use the medication:

  • having diseases with a high likelihood of bleeding (for example, hemophilia or thrombocytopenia);
  • undergoing hemodialysis;
  • having individual intolerance to any component;
  • under 5 years old.

How to take Wobenzym

To include a drug in a treatment course, it is necessary to take into account the type and severity of the disease, therefore, only the attending physician should prescribe dosages and duration of administration. Preventive courses are also prescribed by the doctor according to indications and taking into account the patient’s condition.

Pills

The duration of the course can be from 2 weeks to several months, which is explained by the peculiarities of absorption of components from the small intestine. Every day the patient should drink from 9 to 15 tablets (this recommendation is average; the doctor can increase the dosage according to the indications). The number of tablets is divided into 3 doses. The tablets are swallowed whole, without chewing, and washed down with a glass of water.

Before or after meals

For urological diseases

Enzyme therapy is prescribed by urologists for most genitourinary diseases and is considered an indispensable part of complex treatment. These can be chronic and acute pathologies, infectious and bacterial. Systemic enzyme therapy helps to precisely concentrate antibiotics in areas of inflammation and reduce intoxication in organs and tissues.

With prostatitis, enzymes help reduce pain, prevent its spread, and have a positive effect on sexual function.

For cystitis, enzymes speed up recovery, prevent relapses and the disease becoming chronic.

The course can last from 3 to 6 months with 3-5 tablets taken 3 times daily.

For mastopathy

The course of treatment must be comprehensive. The gynecologist also prescribes the described drug, which in the course of research has shown not only the ability to eliminate the symptoms of the disease, but also its effect on its cause. With long-term use (at least 3 months, 15 tablets per day), the drug can prevent the growth of cysts and pathological neoplasms in the breast tissue.

For pancreatitis

Side effects from taking Wobenzym

Most patients tolerate long-term enzyme therapy well, without side effects, addiction or withdrawal symptoms. Only in some cases, as a result of taking the tablets, changes in stool (consistency, smell) were noted.

Children over 5 years of age are prescribed a daily dose of 1 tablet for every 6 kg of body weight. If the child is over 12 years old, then adult dosages are used when prescribing the drug.

Effect on concentration

It does not have a negative effect on activities associated with the manifestation of psychomotor reactions and is not doping.

Drug interactions

With other drugs

Cases of incompatibility with other drugs have not been recorded. Increases the effectiveness of antibacterial drugs of the main groups:

  • penicillins (including semisynthetic);
  • cephalosporins;
  • aminoglycosides;
  • lincosamides;
  • macrolides;
  • tetracyclines;
  • fluoroquinolones.

Alcohol compatibility

Any treatment course loses its meaning if the patient drinks alcohol, because... ethanol reduces the effectiveness of drugs. In addition, enzymes are prescribed as an addition to complex treatment, so alcohol may be contraindicated in combination with other drugs.

Storage conditions and periods

The tablets are included in list B, which requires storage in a dry place at +15...+25°C. Children should not have access to the place where the medicine is stored. The drug can be used for 30 months if storage conditions have been met.

Conditions for dispensing from pharmacies

Is it sold without a prescription?

Over-the-counter medication.

Price

Depends on the number of tablets. Minimum prices: for 40 pcs. — 411 rub., for 800 pcs. — 5800 rub.

Analogs

Finding cheap Russian drugs that can replace the German enzyme complex is not so easy. Other drugs do not have the same wide range of indications.

A doctor who is familiar with the patient’s medical history will help you select a complete replacement based on enzyme content or immunomodulatory properties.

Systemic enzyme therapy is a method of treatment using targeted mixtures of highly active plant and animal enzymes that affect inflammation, immune reactions, and reparative processes. One of these complex enzyme preparations is “ Wobenzym» ( Wobenzym) - a set of enzymes of animal and plant origin with the addition of rutoside. Wobenzym is used as part of complex therapy for many diseases and improves the health of the body.
In a number of countries, Wobenzym is registered as a dietary supplement (dietary supplement) and its distribution as a medicine is prohibited (for example, in the USA). Wobenzym was registered as a medicine in Russia in 2010. Manufacturer: Mucos Emulsions GmbH, Germany.

Indications for use of Wobenzyma

The main indications for the use of Wobenzym are post-traumatic edema, inflammatory processes in surgical pathology and in the postoperative period, lymphedema of various etiologies, post-thrombophlebitis syndrome, superficial thrombophlebitis, some autoimmune and immune complex diseases (rheumatoid arthritis, multiple sclerosis, glomerulonephritis, vasculitis), chronic and recurrent inflammatory processes of the upper and lower respiratory tract, ear, genitourinary system, digestive tract, joints, etc.
It should be remembered that in case of infectious and inflammatory processes, Wobenzym does not replace antibacterial agents, but increases their effectiveness.

Method of use of Wobenzym and dose

The dose of Wobenzym is selected individually, taking into account the nature and severity of the disease. First, 5-10 tablets are prescribed 3 times a day, the maintenance dose is usually 3 tablets 3 times a day. It is recommended to take the tablets 30 minutes before meals, without biting them, and wash them down with plenty of liquid (at least 250 ml).

For thrombophlebitis and postthrombophlebitis syndrome, Wobenzym is prescribed, depending on the severity of the disease, 5-10 tablets per dose 3 times a day for 7-14 days until swelling and inflammation are eliminated, then the dose is reduced to 3-5 tablets per dose. Usually the effect occurs on the 4th day. To achieve good results, it is recommended to carry out treatment for 1–2 months. For obliterating endarteritis of the vessels of the lower extremities, the therapeutic dose and duration of treatment are selected individually, but not less than 15 tablets per day. For the treatment of grade II-III lymphedema after mastectomy, Wobenzym is prescribed 7 tablets 3 times a day simultaneously with tocopherol (100 mg 3 times a day) for 4 weeks, then the drug is used in a maintenance dose.

For rheumatoid arthritis and ankylosing spondylitis, Wobenzym is prescribed 8-10 tablets 3 times a day, after achieving remission they switch to a maintenance dose - 5 tablets 3 times a day for a year or more. If necessary, to quickly eliminate pain, the drug is taken simultaneously with indomethacin or other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs. For patients with reactive arthritis, Wobenzym is prescribed 5 tablets 3 times a day for 3–4 weeks in combination with antibacterial and non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs.

In gynecology and obstetrics, Wobenzym is usually prescribed 5 tablets 3 times a day for 16–17 days; for inflammatory processes, Wobenzym is taken simultaneously with antibiotics.

For the treatment of venous diseases (thrombophlebitis, postthrombophlebitis syndrome), it is recommended to prescribe 10 Wobenzym tablets 3 times a day for 2 weeks.

In traumatology for large-scale surgical interventions (endoprosthetics, complex reconstructive operations, transplantation and replantation), Wobenzym is prescribed according to a special regimen: 1st week - 10 tablets 3 times a day, 2nd week - 7 tablets 3 times a day , then 5 tablets 3 times a day for 1–1.5 months. In the conservative and surgical treatment of patients with minor injuries to soft tissues and muscles, as well as with isolated fractures of individual segments, the duration of therapy may be limited to 2–3 weeks.

In sports medicine, Wobenzym is prescribed for prophylactic purposes during sports competitions (5 tablets 3 times a day), as well as for injuries (10 tablets 3 times a day).

Contraindications to the use of Wobenzym

Contraindications to the use of systemic enzyme therapy are severe disorders of the blood coagulation system (with hemophilia or severe liver failure). When prescribing the enzyme drug "Wobenzym" to patients in the pre- and postoperative period, its fibrinolytic effect should be taken into account. Wobenzym should be prescribed with caution during pregnancy.
Side effects, even with long-term treatment with Wobenzym, are rare, mainly changes in the color, consistency and smell of stool. Rarely, allergic reactions occur that disappear after discontinuation of the drug.

Pharmacokinetics of the drug "Wobenzym"

The pharmacokinetics of the polyenzyme drug has been studied in detail " Wobenzym", which includes papain(plant enzyme from papaya). After ingestion, enzymes are absorbed in the small intestine in an active form, maintaining hydrolytic activity. Absorption in the small intestine of some enzymes reaches 20%. In the blood, enzyme macromolecules bind to the antiproteases α1-antitrypsin and α2-macroglobulin. Thanks to this, antigenic determinants of proteases are screened, which do not cause sensitization of the body. The maximum concentration of the components of polyenzyme preparations is achieved after 2 hours, is maintained at a stable level for 4 hours, and then decreases within 2 hours. The half-life is 8 hours. Enzymes circulating in the blood are partially captured by stellate reticuloendotheliocytes of the liver and other cells of the mononuclear phagocyte system. About 10% of Wobenzym is excreted in the urine, about 45% in feces. The drug, which is not absorbed in the intestine, participates in the digestive process.

Clinical trials of the drug "Wobenzym"

Numerous clinical trials have shown that complex enzyme preparations comply with general therapeutic principles - they are characterized by reliability and high efficiency with good tolerability, which determines a wide range of their clinical use. The method of systemic enzyme therapy has been introduced in various areas of clinical medicine (the complex enzyme preparation Wobenzym is most often prescribed for this purpose).

In pulmonology Wobenzym is used in combination with antibiotics and other drugs for the treatment of inflammatory diseases of the respiratory system: acute and chronic bronchitis, pneumonia, bronchiectasis. It has been established that the use of enzymes in complex therapy helps to increase the concentration of antibiotics in the pathological focus, reduces the viscosity of secretions, improves bronchial clearance and regeneration of the respiratory epithelium. The dissolution of microthrombi in pathologically altered parenchyma improves microcirculation and promotes saturation of tissues with antibacterial drugs, cleanses the alveoli of fresh fibrin clots, and activates lymph absorption. Enzyme drugs (including Wobenzym) are prescribed until recovery or stable remission of the disease is achieved. They are an effective means of preventing congestive bronchitis and pneumonia in elderly patients who are on bed rest.
Timely administration of enzyme therapy has a beneficial effect on the course of pulmonary infarction or infarction pneumonia.
The use of Wobenzym for sinusitis and laryngitis helps cleanse the mucous membrane and eliminate the source of inflammation.
A positive effect of systemic enzyme therapy has been noted for hepatitis, ulcerative colitis, Crohn's disease, and chronic pancreatitis.

In rheumatology The enzyme preparation "Wobenzym" is used in the complex treatment of rheumatoid polyarthritis, deforming osteoarthritis, ankylosing spondylitis (ankylosing spondylitis), juvenile rheumatoid arthritis, systemic vasculitis, there is evidence of a good clinical effect in systemic lupus erythematosus.
In rheumatoid arthritis, Wobenzym, with long-term (12 months) continuous use, showed the same effectiveness as oral gold preparations, which suggests a possible basic effect of the drug. During treatment with enzyme preparations, there is a rapid decrease in clinical and laboratory signs of immune inflammation activity, restoration of joint mobility, and a decrease in morning stiffness and pain.

In case of ankylosing spondylitis, the effectiveness of enzyme preparations is higher in a number of parameters than indomethacin. Enzyme therapy is used to treat reactive arthritis (especially in resistant and recurrent forms), tenosynovitis, bursitis, periarthritis, and myositis. In osteoarthritis, especially complicated by secondary synovitis, the therapeutic effectiveness of Wobenzym is comparable to the effect of diclofenac. During monotherapy and complex treatment of rheumatic diseases with Wobenzym, no significant adverse reactions were observed. In this regard, the drug can be used continuously for 12 months or more without special laboratory control. Prescribing Wobenzym to patients with rheumatoid arthritis improves tolerability and reduces the dose of cytostatics, non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs and glucocorticoids by 30–50%, which is a significant success in preventing the side effects of these drugs.

The use of Wobenzym in the complex treatment of chronic patients reduces the time required for the elimination of clinical symptoms and laboratory indicators of the activity of the inflammatory process in the kidneys, due to the normalization of immune reactivity, rheological properties of blood and restoration of balance between the state of lipid peroxidation and the body's antioxidant defense system. The effectiveness of systemic enzyme therapy in the complex treatment of glomerulonephritis has been established. In kidney diseases, the fibrinolytic (thrombolytic) effect of combined enzyme preparations promotes the disappearance of cylinders and restores the patency of the renal tubules.

In urological practice systemic enzyme therapy gives good clinical results for prostatitis, cystitis, orchitis and epididymitis. It accelerates the process of transurethral drainage of the prostate for chronic obstructive lesions. Systemic enzyme therapy helps to lyse the plugs of the excretory ducts, reduce the viscosity of the secretion and the number of leukocytes in the aspirate obtained during transurethral drainage. The patients showed important positive clinical dynamics: pain and dysuria disappeared, sexual function was restored ( Guskov A. R. et al., 1998).

Prescribing Wobenzym at a dose of 5–7 tablets 3 times a day for 3–4 weeks together with two intermittent 10-day courses of antibiotics (Tarivid or Vibramycin) allows one to achieve clinical recovery with complete elimination of the pathogen in urogenital chlamydia and ureaplasmosis in 87. 5% and 96% of cases respectively. With mycoplasmosis, clinical recovery was observed in 100% of patients.

In gynecology and obstetrics Systemic enzyme therapy is used in the complex treatment of mastopathy, adnexitis, recurrent miscarriage, cancer, as well as venous pathology and pyelonephritis in pregnant women. It is advisable to include Wobenzym in complex treatment regimens for vaginitis, cervicitis, acute and chronic endometritis, salpingo-oophoritis, parametritis, pelvic peritoneal joints, tubal infertility, and cervical dysplasia. Systemic enzyme therapy is the most effective conservative method of treating fibrocytous mastopathy; it is indicated for the treatment of mild and moderate forms of preeclampsia in pregnant women. Wobenzym is also prescribed for late toxicosis of pregnant women.

The administration of Wobenzym in the postoperative period for infective endocarditis (in two courses: the first - 2 weeks, 8 tablets per day, the second - for a month during the rehabilitation period, 6 tablets per day) promotes sustainable correction of impaired immunological parameters. Normalization of most immunological parameters occurred on the 45th day (after the second course of systemic enzyme therapy) and persisted for 6 months ( Vorobyova A. M. et al., 1998).

The use of Wobenzym for a month after myocardial infarction in a daily dose of 9 tablets helps normalize the plasma lipid profile (reliably reduces the level of cholesterol and cholesterol-containing low-density lipoproteins (by 24 and 31%, respectively), lipid peroxidation processes (reduces the level of malonic acid by 34%). dialdehyde), normalizes the number of circulating immunocompetent cells. Under the influence of Wobenzym, the level of circulating immune complexes and antibody titers to the affected myocardium significantly decreased in most patients.

In angiology systemic enzyme therapy is widely used to treat diseases of peripheral arteries and veins, including varicose veins of the superficial and deep veins of the lower extremities, thrombophlebitis (effectiveness is more than 90%), postthrombophlebitic syndrome, phlebothrombosis. By improving capillary permeability and reducing blood viscosity, in patients with venopathy, hyperemia and swelling in the affected area, relapses of thrombosis, muscle cramps are quickly relieved, and the feeling of fatigue and severity of pain are reduced. During treatment with Wobenzym, there was no progression of blood reflux through the veins of the affected limbs. In 28.3% of patients, complete recovery occurred when using systemic enzyme therapy. Wobenzym helps prevent blood clots. For vein pathology, local application of enzymes in the form of ointments is effective.

Numerous studies have proven that under the influence of systemic enzyme therapy with Wobenzym, inhibition of the processes of sclerosis (atherogenesis) in the vascular wall is observed, improvement of endothelial function by reducing the degree of adhesion of blood cells and cytokine damage, splitting of deposits of immune complexes, which is important in patients with autoimmune damage to the vascular wall, for example, with systemic vasculitis, etc.).
For diabetic angiopathies complicated by disseminated intravascular coagulation syndrome, the use of Wobenzym, in addition to reducing pain and swelling of the extremities, accelerates the healing of trophic ulcers and reduces the percentage of patients who required amputations, significantly improves coagulogram parameters, and normalizes fibrinogen content in the blood.
Elimination of disseminated intravascular coagulation syndrome by Wobenzym in patients with purulent-necrotic complications of diabetic angiopathy significantly improves wound healing. By improving impaired microcirculation, Wobenzym significantly reduces the risk of thromboembolic complications.

Enzyme preparations are prescribed for the prevention and treatment of secondary lymphedema that develops against the background of erysipelas, after oncological operations. In patients constantly taking " Wobenzym“over 2 years, after surgical treatment of breast cancer, lymphedema was 5 times less common.

There has been positive clinical experience with the use of Wobenzym in hemorrhagic vasculitis (Henoch-Schönlein disease), autoimmune thrombocytopenia, Wegener's disease and Behçet's syndrome.

Enzyme therapy is becoming increasingly popular in dentistry. It is indicated for all inflammatory processes in the oral cavity, as well as after tooth extraction and root surgery.
Systemic enzyme therapy is used for preventive and therapeutic purposes in plastic surgery - it promotes the healing of cosmetic sutures and the formation of invisible, delicate scars.

There have been good, although not always stable, results of treatment with Wobenzym for sciatica.

Systemic enzyme therapy helps withstand training loads of increased volume and intensity and helps achieve stable athletic shape. Taking Wobenzym does not cause disruption of adaptation mechanisms and depletion of the immune system during intense training; the level of sports performance increases significantly according to control biochemical and psychofunctional tests. The effect after a month's course of systemic enzyme therapy lasts for 10–14 days. Taking Wobenzym by athletes before competitions reduces the possibility of traumatic damage to ligaments and muscles and promotes their rapid healing. According to numerous studies, prescribing Wobenzym 10 tablets 3 times a day from 10–14 days to 4–6 weeks allows you to begin sports training after injuries, on average 2–2.5 times faster compared to patients receiving traditional therapy.

There is extensive experience in the use of enzyme preparations in oncology. Enzyme therapy for cancer can be effective if treatment is started in the early stages of the disease, the drug is used in large doses and treatment is continued even after visible remission is achieved. Unlike cytostatics, enzyme therapy does not cause adverse reactions, and there is no danger of overdose. The drug “Vobe-Mugos” is widely used in oncology.
The drugs "Vobezim" and "Vobe-Mugos" were used to treat lymphogranulomatosis and non-Hodgkin's lymphomas. In combination with irradiation, enzyme preparations (2 tablets 4 times a day) made it possible to achieve significant resorption of a large mass of tumors, a pronounced normalization of hematological parameters, and reduce the time of subsequent irradiations.

In experimental nutritional hypercholesterolemia in rabbits, it was confirmed that the drug “Wobenzym” exhibits a pronounced and antiatherogenic effect. Along with reducing serum cholesterol levels, it inhibits by 2.8–3.2 times the intensity of the uptake of plasma lipoproteins by a culture of mouse macrophages.

Wobenzym

Compound

1 Wobenzym tablet contains 250 mg of proteolytic enzymes from pineapple and papaya plants and from animal pancreas: pancreatin 100 mg, papain 60 mg, bromelain 45 mg, trypsin 24 mg, chymotrypsin 1 mg, amylase 10 mg, lipase 10 mg, rutin 50 mg in one pellet. Main inactive ingredients are lactose, corn starch, magnesium stearate, stearic acid, purified water, colloidal silicone dioxide, talc, sucrose.

pharmachologic effect

Wobenzym is a combination of highly active enzymes of plant and animal origin with immunomodulatory, anti-inflammatory, anti-edematous, fibrinolytic and secondary analgesic effects. Enzymes (enzymes) represent the basis of the body’s vital functions and take part in almost all biological processes of the body. Reduced enzyme activity often leads to acute and chronic diseases. Wobenzym has a positive effect on the course of the inflammatory process, limits the pathological manifestation of autoimmune and immunocomplex processes, and has a positive effect on the indicators of the body's immunological reactivity. Stimulates and regulates the level of functional activity of monocytes-macrophages, natural killer cells, stimulates antitumor immunity, cytotoxic T-lymphocytes, and phagocytic activity of cells. Under the influence of Wobenzym, the number of circulating immune complexes decreases and membrane deposits of immune complexes are removed from tissues. Wobenzym accelerates the lysis of toxic metabolic products and necrotic tissues. Improves the resorption of hematomas and edema, normalizes the permeability of vascular walls. Normalizes blood viscosity and microcirculation. Improves the supply of tissues with oxygen and nutrients. Wobenzym reduces the concentration of thromboxane and platelet aggregation. Regulates the adhesion of blood cells, increases the ability of red blood cells to change their shape, regulating their plasticity, normalizes the number of normal discocytes and reduces the total number of activated forms of platelets, normalizes blood viscosity, reduces the total number of microaggregates, thus improving microcirculation and rheological properties of blood, as well as tissue supply oxygen and nutrients. Wobenzym reduces the side effects associated with taking hormonal drugs. The secondary analgesic effect of Wobenzym manifests itself through its effect on the causative factors of the acute inflammatory process. Wobenzym normalizes lipid metabolism, reduces the synthesis of endogenous cholesterol, increases the content of high-density lipoproteins, reduces the level of atherogenic lipids, and improves the absorption of polyunsaturated fatty acids. Wobenzym increases the concentration of antibiotics in the blood plasma and the site of inflammation, thus increasing the effectiveness of their use. At the same time, enzymes reduce the unwanted side effects of antibiotic therapy. Wobenzym regulates nonspecific defense mechanisms (production of interferons), thereby exhibiting antiviral and antimicrobial effects.

The course dose of the drug is selected individually. It is recommended to take the drug at least 30 minutes before meals with plenty of water (200 ml). In order to increase the effectiveness of antibiotics and prevent dysbacteriosis, Wobenzym should be used throughout the entire course of antibiotic therapy at a dose of 5 tablets 3 times a day. After stopping the course of antibiotics, to restore the intestinal microflora (biocenosis), Wobenzym should be prescribed 2-3 tablets 3 times a day for 2 weeks. As a “cover” therapy during chemotherapy and radiation therapy, Wobenzym should be used in a dose of 3-5 tablets 3 times a day until the completion of the course of chemotherapy and radiation therapy. When using Wobenzym for prophylactic purposes, the dose of the drug is 2-3 tablets 3 times a day, the course is 1.5 months, repeated 2-3 times a year. The tablets should be taken at least 30 minutes before meals, without chewing, with water (150 ml).

Side effects

Wobenzym is well tolerated by patients. In most cases, no side effects were observed even with long-term treatment with high doses. In some cases, minor changes in the consistency and smell of stool and skin rashes in the form of urticaria are noted. The drug does not have a negative effect on driving a car or performing work that requires a high speed of mental and physical reactions. If other adverse reactions not noted in the instructions occur, it is recommended to stop taking the drug and consult a doctor.

Contraindications

Individual intolerance to the drug. Diseases associated with an increased likelihood of bleeding (hemophilia, thrombocytopenia, etc.). Precautions and special instructions: In case of infectious processes, Wobenzym does not replace antibiotics, but increases their effectiveness by increasing the concentration in the blood plasma and the site of inflammation. Pregnancy and lactation are not a contraindication for the use of the drug, however, pregnant women should take Wobenzym under the supervision of a physician. According to a study by the Anti-Doping Center of the State Sports Committee of the Russian Federation, no doping compounds were identified in Wobenzym. Drug interactions: When Wobenzym is taken simultaneously with other medications, cases of incompatibility are unknown. Increases the concentration of antibiotics in the blood plasma and the site of inflammation.

The work of the body is based on enzymes, which are directly involved in almost all its life processes. Wobenzym compensates for the lack of such enzymes in the body, having a positive effect on the course of the inflammatory process, limiting the pathological manifestation of immune complex processes, and also reacting positively to the indicators of the body’s immune system.

Such a versatile effect in the body is achieved due to the active components that predominate in Wobenzym. These are bromelain, papain, pancreatin, trypsin, amylase, lipase, chymotrypsin, rutoside. And the excipients are purified water, magnesium stearate, lactose, talc, colloidal silicon dioxide, corn starch, stearic acid, sucrose.

Wobenzym is produced in the form of convex, red, film-coated tablets.

Reviews about the drug Wobenzym

Oddly enough, the vast majority of reviews about the effectiveness of Wobenzym are negative. Of course, there are also positive notes about its work in the body, but, unfortunately, they remain in the minority.

Thus, former patients report that such treatment with Wobenzym turned out to be absolutely useless, even if the specialist’s recommendations were followed, and did not produce any changes in the body: neither for the better nor for the worse. Although it is fair to note that the side effects also did not worsen, which is good news.

This once again emphasizes that it is better to think again and consult with a doctor before resorting to his “services,” and superficial self-medication will not give the desired result.

The price of Wobenzym n200 tablets is 1,490 rubles.
