October 25, out of 272 RAO members with voting rights, 168 people attended the meeting. Of these, 131 people voted for the appointment of Yuriy Zinchenko.

Speaking at the meeting, the Minister of Education of the Russian Federation Olga Vasilyeva congratulated those present on the elections, and the academy itself on its 75th anniversary, which RAO celebrated on October 6. According to her, this organization plays a huge role in improving the overall level of education in our country and the world, however, as the recent tragedy in Kerch showed, there is a feeling that we are constantly late, so it is very important to establish full-fledged psychological work in educational organizations. And in this, in her opinion, the new president of RAO will help her.

“I often attend a variety of youth forums,” said the country’s chief children’s ombudsman Anna Kuznetsova. “They discuss a variety of topics there, but I have never heard them discuss the problems of how to create a strong, full-fledged family, how to maintain good relations between spouses. Although, I know very well that the topic worries all young people, and each of them dreams of exactly this. But without a strong family we cannot decide demographic problem! And I am sure that it is not locks or metal detectors that can protect our children, but people who are able to change the inner world of each student for the better. And professional RAO scientists should help us with this.”

The first chairman of the State Duma Committee on Education, Oleg Smolin, expressed confidence that one of the main tasks of RAO should be closer work with legislation. “We all know very well: unfortunately, the laws adopted by the Duma do not always benefit Russian education, - stated the parliamentarian. “But we all then have to live and work according to these laws, so it makes sense to make sure that there are fewer problems here.” In addition, I would really like the academy to seriously begin to study the problems of domestic education from a systemic point of view, because we need to see the situation as a whole and understand what needs to be done to change it comprehensively.”

Academician Vladimir Shadrikov suggested that the new head of RAO think about creating his own publishing base. This would not only be a powerful help in terms of attracting finance, but would also help supply schools with textbooks published within the walls of the academy.

“But the main thing, it seems to me, is the problem of the content of education,” emphasized Vladimir Dmitrievich. – If RAO manages to solve even just this one problem, it will be glorified everywhere, throughout the country and at all levels. And then, it’s time to seriously start developing new IT didactics, without which it is impossible to achieve high-quality new approach towards the implementation of full-fledged digital education.”

Representatives of a number of reputable government agencies invited to the event congratulated RAO on its 75th anniversary and presented individual members of this organization with gratitude, medals, badges and prizes.

In particular, Lyudmila Verbitskaya received the award “For Contribution to Strengthening the Nation” from Russian President Vladimir Putin, the medal “For Strengthening the Painful Community” from the Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation Sergei Shoigu, the medal “For Services to Domestic Healthcare” from the Minister of Health Veronika Skvortsova, and so on. . Yuri Zinchenko was also awarded the medal “For Strengthening the Military Commonwealth” and the badge “Excellence in Health Care”, as well as thanks from the leadership of Rosobrnadzor, Roskomnadzor, the Ministry of Education and other organizations.

“When talking about the digitalization of education, it makes sense to talk about the digitalization of the Academy of Education,” the newly elected president of the Russian Academy of Education noted in his speech. – It is necessary to consider new, more effective formats of cooperation, including remote communication on the Internet. Fundamental research is what moves our science forward, but this is not enough, it is necessary to translate it into an applied channel, so that science helps solve very specific problems of education, provides answers to the problems that concern every teacher and parent - how to teach and raise a child.”
